The Forming Profile Model for Cold Metal Transfer and Plasma Wire-Arc Deposition of Nickel-Based Alloy

The effect of process parameters on the forming profile nickel-based alloy deposited by plasma and cold metal transfer (CMT) wire-arc deposition was comparatively studied. arc welding (PAW) presented good wettability high dilution rate, while CMT showed opposite. ellipse parabola function models for single weld bead were established MATLAB software. results that model had higher similarity with features PAW in terms area error matching degree. single-layer multi-bead (SLMB) single-bead multi-layer (SBML) predicted, respectively, according to size wetting angle length axis. There an incomplete fusion defect at toe when depositing SLMB CMT, but not PAW. In SBML experiment, two sides layer both smoother than those layer.
